TOURS BY MOTOR AROUND LAKE GARDA AND MONTE BALDO
The complete tour of Lake Garda is about 300 km long and will allow you to explore all the facets of the Garda landscape and immerse yourself completely in the beauty of the lake. Starting from the south side, travel along the western shore, cross the Trentino mountains, visit the Terlago and Toblino lakes, and then descend southwards along the eastern shore.
STRADA DELLA FORRA
Located north of Lake Garda, near Tremosine sul Garda, according to Winston Churchill it is “the most beautiful road in the world”, and who could blame him?
Overlooking the lake, it is carved into canyons between caves and cavities and offers goosebump-inducing views along the entire route.
A fascinating but also challenging route. Ideal for those who love strong emotions, and for this reason it must be approached with the utmost attention.
The route, although challenging as mentioned, is very short: from the junction on the SS45bis to Tremosine sul Garda, it is just over 5 km.
Along the journey there are numerous panoramic points where you can stop and take some photos in complete safety.
TOUR OF THE THREE LAKES
For those who love longer motorcycle trips, the tour of the Three Lakes is a great choice. This route includes Lake Garda, Lake Idro and Lake Ledro. A unique opportunity to discover three natural gems of northern Italy, each with its own charm and unique characteristics.
It is difficult to list all the wonders that a motorcyclist encounters during his journey on Lake Garda because each village or beach offers unique scenery in the world.
Here is a small list of the most beautiful places to see along your motorcycle trip, each with its own peculiar atmosphere:
Sirmione
Situated on the southern shore of the lake, Sirmione is famous for its thermal baths and the Scaligero Castle. The medieval village, with its narrow streets and historic buildings, is ideal for a relaxing stroll. Don’t miss the Grotte di Catullo: the remains of a large Roman villa overlooking the lake.
Riva del Garda
At the northern end of the lake, Riva del Garda is a paradise for water sports and nature lovers. The old town is charming, with its lively squares and ancient churches. For a unique experience, take a walk along the Sentiero del Ponale, which offers panoramic views of the lake.
Malcesine
Malcesine, dominated by the Scaligero Castle, is one of the most picturesque villages on the lake. The cable car that goes up Monte Baldo will allow you to admire a 360-degree panorama of the entire Lake Garda. The cobbled streets of the old town are full of little shops and cafes.
Limone sul Garda
Known, as its name suggests, for its lemon groves, Limone sul Garda is a true gem. The Museum of Tourism and the Limonaia del Castèl are worth a visit to discover the history and traditions of lemon cultivation.
Gargnano
Gargnano is one of the quietest places on the lake. Famous for its historic villas, such as Villa Feltrinelli, and for the splendid view of the lake. The Strada della Forra, which starts from here, is a must for motorcyclists, with its exciting curves and heart-stopping views.
Bardolino
Bardolino is a must-see for lovers of food and good wine. Enjoy a stroll along the lakeside and refresh yourself in one of the many wine shops for a tasting of local wines. The Wine Museum, in this regard, is an interesting place to learn about the wine-making history of the region.
Punta San Vigilio
An essential stop, this small peninsula that juts out into the lake is one of the most romantic places. With its historic villa, small church and picturesque port, Punta San Vigilio, in Garda, offers a romantic and suggestive atmosphere. The perfect place for a relaxing break, why not, enjoying an aperitif at the bar of the small port.
